When placing your deposit, I will procure baby chicks to match your share size. Chicks typically start laying eggs consistently within 3-4 months. After those 3-4 months, I’ll let you know when your dozens are ready for pickup on the farm.
Chickens are fed organic layer feed and supplemented with farm-grown sunflower seeds and (not farm-grown) dried worms. In addition, they have ample forage opportunities with a new pasture paddock available each day.
Eggs are a variety of colors (brown, white, and green) and sizes (L, XL, and Jumbo).
Eggs have deep orange yolks due to forage options: bugs, seeds, vegetation, etc.
Eggs are collected, cleaned, and packaged per legal requirements. I request that you care for the cartons and return them to me when you pick up new cartons so they can be recycled for next month’s eggs.
A monthly estimated pick-up schedule will be provided to you after the deposit is received. Eggs can be held here until it is convenient for you to pick up. If you need to skip a month, let me know ahead of time and I can usually re-distribute your eggs to other customers.
Delivery is available for a fee. Use the Contact Us form to provide your drop-off address and I’ll provide you with a quote based on your location. Most local locations can be covered for a $12 - $25 delivery fee.
Deposit is only required for customers who are not currently buying eggs. A chance to extend, change your amount, or cancel eggs for the next year is offered in January each year.
